An AAU & USA Diving Affiliated Program

Team and Lesson divers practice together to foster an inclusive team dynamic that encourages mentorship and aspiration. Team membership is by invitation only — based on level of ability and degree of commitment. Team divers are entitled to unlimited practices per month. Lesson divers are encouraged by team divers at practice and participate in 6 (2-hour) lessons per month. Team vs. Lessons...what's the difference?

Divers are expected to arrive 15 minutes ahead of practice to allow adequate time to change into swimsuit, athletic shoes, tee shirt and shorts. In preparation for 90 minutes of pool training, each practice begins with 30 minutes of sport-specific stretching, diving related movements for posture, followed by 90 minutes in the pool. Pool training consists of simple diving skills that work on posture, balance, and forward and backward approaches; line-up drills and skills in both forward and backward directions; and work on five voluntary, and six optional dives based on experience. 

​Private/Semi-Private Instruction
In special circumstances, we are able to provide a limited course of private or semi-private instruction as deemed appropriate. Such requests are considered on an individual basis. Resulting individualized programs are short-term only, and intended exclusively as preparation for participation in the ZAP Team & Lessons program. For additional information, please contact us. ​​
